I recently switched over to Mac, and purchased a new MacBook Pro, but found that the computer did not have enough ram for everything I am doing (large photoshop files etc.) I was wondering if there is any way that I could get external ram or some type of upgrade for my computer. Why would you ever want to do that?! OS X already uses virtual memory when it has to. Allocating virtual memory to an external drive like a USB thumb drive will result in even slower virtual memory performance than when it uses your main hard drive for the same thing. Or are you saying that your main hard drive is completely full? Get a bigger drive then or offload some files to an external.
